People complaining about characters' communication skills I can get, because it often is just a shortcut/ cheap plot device. I do feel like even if everyone has amazing communication skills people still can get their wires crossed, because that's just life, but most of the time it really is just lazy writing.

The comments about therapy bother me though. I've been going to a therapist on-and-off for years now, and it is not a magical cure. 'If character A got therapy then he wouldn't have this issue'. Uh, no? If he got therapy, then (hopefully!) he would have the tools needed to be aware of the issue when it comes up, and deal with it. And that will probably still be difficult.
