OP implied their OTPs all have satisfying sex with each other, only. That's purity culture in a nutshell.

I don't think it's purity culture to be like "I like to headcanon that my OTP has the best sex ever." They're not saying all sex sucks balls or stop having sex. And some sex DOES suck. It's just wish fulfillment

dude it's just some peoples preferences in fandoms. I don't think anyone's saying that's all it ever has to be in fanfiction.

honestly i see the possibility that it's just as much the opposite, that many people KNOW there are multiple possibilities for fulfilling relationships in rl, including exciting sexual relationships with multiple someones and the fantasy is of the OTP is that these possibilities don't exist to threaten the OTP or are all fulfilled in one person to make the OTP the "best" all-around choice. It's a common romantic fantasy around romantic decision-making that started way before purity culture.
