Do it!!! Do the rewrite for your own pleasure! OMG FUCKING DO IT.

It sucks when you know they could have gone THERE, taken the characters THERE but they shied away from it.

It's happened to me before, but it was less that the characters didn't go there -- they fucking did. The MC Love interest betrayed the MC, then was also double crossed and held prisoner while he had to hear his dearly beloved get raped -- i mean the author went there. But love intrest spoke like Tarzan when he first met Jane, and Lord only knows how I found all the ridiculous and poorly crafted sex scenes hot, in addition to the ALL CAPS EVERYWHERE, ESPECIALLY FOR LOVE INTEREST'S SPEECH.
Quizzilla, it was a pleasure thank you.

So I started rewriting it, with more plausible character development and motivations, interactions, and plot. Unfortunately, before i could finish, quizzilla took down their stories and that particular gem was lost at sea.

Again, great premise, but poor execution. I feel like I've read other docs that gave me similar vibes (if only because they could have been better), but this one stays on my mind a decade and change later.
