Was rooting for Denmark, now I don't really care anymore.
(Are the English fans the only ones booing the national hymns of other countries? I feel like I only ever hear that from their games... if that's true, I'm slightly in favor of Italy.)

Oh god are they really doing that? Sadly as and English person this doesn't surprise me considering it is football fans so scummyness is expected sadly.

They did it to Denmark, at least.

Too bad because I was initially rooting for England - I called the England Vs Italy finals very early on so I felt vindicated -, but I started wanting Denmark to win after they did.

Even the French don't do that and they're incredibly rude and ill-mannered when it comes to soccer.

They did it to Germany, too. I thought maybe it's cause of some rivalry or something, which doesn't make it a nice thing but ya know... heat of the moment thing... but whatever did Denmark ever do to them???

I was rooting for Denmark too, after a player nearly died. I wanted them to win it for him.

Plus, they have the hottest team, IMO.

I'm indifferent to everything related to football - but it's really weird to see English flags up everywhere in my neighbourhood.

On one hand it would be kind of funny if England did win the Euro cup after leaving the EU - but on the other hand if England wins then people are never going to shut up about it, so I wouldn't mind losing tbh.

That's why I was so incredibly happy when France lost! I don't get the French obsession with football but God are they annoying.

Worst part is I actually tolerated watching Italy Vs Spain because my boyfriend was not that excited since his team was not playing anymore. Made it a much less awful experience for me. He's not even French ffs!

I'm an American that doesn't really follow soccer much.
As I am both 1/4 Sicilian and 1/4 Spanish, I didn't cheer on either team the other day. :) Now, since Italy won and is playing England...I'm still not cheering either team on because I'm an Anglophile. :D

My longtime tifosi tendencies notwithstanding, I still think the overriding factor here is not wanting to hear about this shit for the next fifty odd years.
