Mainly following fan artists has kept me a bit ignorant to what's going on in the fandom in terms of drama lol.

I'm only concerned about the potential hissy fit people are going to throw if it doesn't turn out to be 'gay enough' since people were accusing the first series of being queer bait (even though that term wouldn't really fit for Good Omens, it doesn't stop people from using it in every situation when their ship don't get together).

Queerbait lmaoooo agender beings in romantic but probably asexual love isn't fucking queerbait it's just queer. My personal opinion is that most of the people who were mad about the supposed queerbaiting were actually just mad that there wasn't any of teh hot m/m sexxors they fantasized about displayed onscreen.

Lol YES I know right?? There was a youtuber I had followed who specialized in fandom shipping from a bi POV which was pretty interesting until he got to Good Omens and complained about it not really being gay enough because they didn't kiss (he didn't dismiss it completely, but a chunk of it had me eye-rolling and notice that it's all LGBTQ representation until the possibility of Trans/nonbinary and/or asexual characters come up then itsa suddenly h o m o p h o b i c).

"You go too fast for me" is a loaded as fuck statement and only makes sense from a queer angle.

I KNOW and it was such a powerful moment

When Gaiman replies to request for them to kiss with a "wait and see" wink, INSTEAD of by pointing out that they're asexual, so their love/friendship/whatever doesn't need physical displays? THAT's queerbaiting. If they're NOT going to kiss because they're not that kind of couple? Just say so.

I thought he was going to respond to all questions about GOs2 with 'Wait and see'.

AYRT

The Wink emoji was what made me think it was queerbaiting. It's one thing to go "Wait and see, I can't tell you more" and another to add a wink emoji to a question he KNOWS half his audience wants to be yes and is convinced is subtext already.

Wow the second series isn't even finished and its already begun.

>No Fear
>The Good Omens fandom convincing themselves A&C will be a canon romantic couple and kiss on-screen
>One Fear

As much as I love the source material, the characters and the shipping I just can't see it happening on the TV series, it comes across as people setting themselves up for a massive disappointment and/or endless flame wars.
