I know that can be subjective, but I would actually put American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson as best for John Travolta, with Pulp Fiction as runner-up, and as best Leaving Las Vegas (depressing as hell, but a good performance) for Nicolas Cage, with a bunch as runners-up (Raising Arizona, Moonstruck, Wild at Heart) - he does some fairly bizarre characters well. I'm not sure Face/Off even makes my top ten for either.
