at not point does Marie Kondo suggest that you should downsize specific things.
Marie Kondo is not a minimalist, she's suggests that you only keep or buy things you enjoy or need, organize your stuff in a way you can consistently enjoy them, and that you actively look to keep out things you neither need nor enjoy. Her having a product line is not in conflict with this, and good faith understanding of what she's written about her method would have made this clear. This "gotcha" about her line was not in good faith, imo.

People love twisting her actual words and tips though.
