She-Ra's artstyle wasn't for everyone, but the story and characters were great. I might watch this, but definitely not for the 2010s fanime artstyle.

OT, but what does one call She-Ra's art style anyway? All I've got is "80s-era Smurfs, but rounder, more saturated, and with less texture," and that's a bit of a mouthful.

I'd say that's actually a pretty good comparison, but it is a mouthful. A lot of people just include it with the "Cal Arts" style that's dominated modern cartoons. A style I don't mind one bit. But all I'm going to be thinking when I rewatch She-Ra is "80s Smurfs" lol!
