There's palpable heartbreak here in my town after the Euros Final. Bloody good game though, congratulations to Italy!

Yeah :( I knew we'd lost when all three of our town's pubs all fell silent at the same time. Haven't heard a peep since.

rain knocked out my aerial so i had to watch on iplayer, which had about a two minute delay - which meant every time anything happened i heard my neighbours yelling about it early

Watched some of the soccer, got lunch with my mother, watched some more soccer. Might go and see Black Widow later on.

I've fulfilled my goal of not doing much this weekend. Went for a long walk this morning and it wasn't super hot out! Was disappointed that my sister and her fiance couldn't play OW or Apex with me since their power went out for a bit.

Woke up, on my day off, to an unexpected work meeting in half an hour that turned out to be mainly about pointless bullshit that we've all gone over a to n already. With a side helping of "gear up folks there's a ruthless firing-happy higher-up probably making a secret undercover visit to the store soon and also corporate is about to get even more micromanage-y and controlling than they were, because you weren't burned out enough yet after the past year and a half." I have got to get the fuck out of retail. The problem is that there are very very few jobs that will pay me a living wage and also allow me to go to grad school, and I'm at least 2 years out from being done.

Keeping a migraine/ heand-and-neck tension headache at bay. PMS'ing hard. Debating rescheduling a doctor's appointment (nothing serious).

AYRT--nope but it might be a display thing; I commented after you and am also fighting off a migraine and it sucks.

After feeding my critters, I've alternated napping, snacking, and reading all day. I hate this weather and it's not even hot out, just too hot and bright for me. My brain keeps trying to make a migraine happen and dammit, I won't let it. Periods suck enough all on their own.

I'll go for a long walk and get some groceries tonight.

I can't decide whether to post my very id-fic Good Omens fic under my account or create a new account. It would probably get more hits under mine, but the fic just feels very indulgent somehow.

I haven't been following at all but have been seeing some of the inescapable memes, so when someone I know (from freaking Minnesota) posted "IT'S COMING ROME" I knew what must have happened and cracked up.

My day? Stayed up way too late talking with a friend whose health has been rough and he hadn't slept in two days. I mean I was tired, but not as tired and miserable as he was, so okay I'll stay on messenger and send him pics of my pets and reminisce about cons and stuff.

So today I've been exhausted (but he hasn't been online so I hope maybe I helped him relax enough to sleep?) but I've been poking at the fic I'm writing and I think it's back on track and once I'm not so dead tired I might be at the point where I can just write the rest of the thing chronologically without having to jump back and forth changing or rearranging scenes I'd already written before I realized how I was going to tie it together.

So happy that tomorrow will start a NORMAL work week with no holidays or suspicious department meetings. It's been awhile.

Had a nice nap, listened to some music, cleaned my room, and we've ordered Red Lobster for dinner because of my birthday tomorrow. So pretty good.

Was out camping this weekend with friends I haven't seen in forever which was so nice. Came home to an irate kitty who I've had to make up a weekend's worth of attention to.
