nayrt - Probably because the 1995 miniseries has a lot of fans who consider it their quintessential Elizabeth and Darcy. There's no need to assume ayrt is being unreasonable until such a time if/when they behave as such, right?

You might be interested in watching playthroughs, then. I don't have a console (and needa new laptop) and sometimes don't have the mental energy for the puzzles in horror games, so I watch other people play instead. Especially the newer Resident Evils

Of course, it means you'll have to find someone whose style you like. I do Markiplier, but I know his personality grates on people.

I'm worried about my dog. I took him to the vet for his annual shots and the vet said his lymph nodes were swollen. She didn't have a definitive answer for why and just said to bring him back if they're still swollen after three days, but I'm super worried it's gonna be something bad and/or something expensive to cure.

You're assuming that's why the original anon feels it might be a troll secret. As I've already pointed out, that's not a given. The 1995 miniseries is very popular, opinions on 1995 vs. 2005 are divisive, and this exact subject has recently come up right here on FS demonstrating that. So when a secret appears that criticizes one of the actresses and her characterization, someone might suspect a troll - not because it disagrees with popular opinion* but because it's a red button subject.

* and there are plenty of people who prefer the 2005 version, so disliking either Elizabeth is going to be both unpopular with one crowd, but popular with another.

NA - Strongly seconding this. Accusing someone of being a troll for having a perfectly valid and not particularly inflammatory opinion is just weird.

Car shopping does suck. But... how much mileage and in what kind of condition? That seems an awfully high price tag for a 5 year old car when 2022s are releasing soon. I hope you didn't get overcharged.

Great condition with 40k miles. Only had one previous owner. Sadly, car prices are crazy right now and stock is low. Worst time to have your car die. :(

Do you still buy them or no longer have a need for them?
Do you have a favorite one that you intend to hold on to or have you ever been disappointed by the content on it? (ie: like buying a dvd not seeing the movie/show before?)
Do you have something like a VHS tape as a form of merch or is streaming just more convenient by comparison?

God, I love her. I guess Darcy is nice too, but to me the highlight of watching the 1995 adaptation will always be Lizzie.

I feel like that's always a weird argument to bring up in fantasies/fantastic settings. Yes, it can still be weird if it's not something established or otherwise. Just because there are fantastical elements doesn't mean it throws everything out the window.

I've not bought physical media in at least two years. Honestly, I probably won't buy anymore because I don't watch the ones I do have. If I want to watch The Lion King, I'll just use the Disney Plus account my sister has.

However, I do miss special features. Especially gag reels.

I wish I could enjoy the series, but I keep comparing it to the comics and get frustrated. On one hand I wish they could adapt Don Rosa's best stories because those are just incredible, but at the same time I know Disney has screwed him over and they have no business touching any of his material ever again. Dude hates Ducktales and Disney and adapting his stuff would probably cause a heart attack.

I don't really buy dvds any more, but I have a handful of movies and an anime collection from before 2016 with the exception of two series I got as a Christmas present since then.
I have to admit, as annoying as it can be when it takes up space - it's disappointing when you can't find a particular movie or your streaming service just gets rid of it without any warning; which is the main appeal of owning a copy of anything you'd like to rewatch again in the future.

I like it but the art style bothers me. It looks good in stills but not animated.

I like Pikasprey Blue for playthroughs of horror games (and in general). He clearly enjoys horror games, gives small and obscure stuff a chance, doesn't go for over the top reactions to the scares and doesn't put a recording of himself playing the game in the video (which I absolutely hate).

Also, he tries to keep his commentary and reactions level because he knows that people use his videos as background noise to fall asleep. That sort of consideration just gets to me.

Ah yes the "my european medieval fantasy can have dragons and fairies, but black people are out of the question" defense.

So what you're basically saying is that no one is able make a secret about any adaptation of Pride and Prejudice without people calling them a troll. That's just great and also very conducive to civilized discussions. How about we stop dismissing people's opinion as trolling unless there's actual evidence of that, huh?

I have a nice DVD library of lots of my favorite TV shows and movies that I would never want to give up.

Steam/Pc-games/consoles/etc...
