OMG anon, I've been trying to find this series for years! I remember snatches from it but not its name nor the characters' name. I was never able to find it.

I can't believe there's a secret for this anime on FS. This show, Attack No. 1 and Cat's Eyes were my first anime shows, even before Sailor Moon, and I LOVED them as a kid. You made my night, anon <3

And HECK YEAH, it deserves a reboot with shiny new animations and designs.

I feel as though Central Europe had a lot of the same things on in terms of anime and cartoons in the late 80s/90s. At least it's mostly only Europeans who know these shoes when I talk about them, lol.

Ah that makes sense! Italian here, so that's where my guess always goes, but yeah, Italy / France / Spain / Germany, I think, all got the same crop of 80s/90s children's entertainment.
