it sucks when that happens OP :( I usually end up revisiting fics I was obsessed with from past fandoms or look up old fanvids when that happens to me - but yeah that doesn't always help either.

I've only had two fandoms I was consumingly obsessed with in, um, oh dear... 25 years. There's others I've read a handful of fic for, saved some fanart, maybe written a one-shot, but I miss the giddy excitement of a fandom I love unreservedly. I hope I find another one or a few.

My two big fandoms have being medium sized but producing a ton of amazing fic in common, but the more recent is dying now that the canon ended a few years ago. The older is a story that gets an influx of new fans and content whenever there's a new adaptation, but it's been awhile.

I still look for fanworks for both, but it's down to a steady trickle from a flood, and not as exciting anymore.
