I agree. It takes the pro-cop bias and whitewashing of police action to a completely different level than other cop shows. This is always an issue with procedurals, but Blue Bloods is just the absolute worst. My mom loves the show, but I couldn't make it through more than a couple episodes with her.

My mom too. She loves Tom Selleck and Bridget Moynahan. I can't get away from it though.

I had no idea either! I remember seeing a mention of it...somewhere, but it's interesting how some shows are totally invisible to people who are immersed in fandom.

That's pretty much CBS' target demo at this point I think

also older people are the only demographic that still watches live TV in significant numbers

I guess I always thought this show took place in Boston. Must be the presence of a Wahlberg (I'm sure it's obviously New York if you watch it, but I never have).
