There’s no “maybe” about it. You’re being dishonest.

?????? How? I haven't claimed that what I said was 'all that TERFs say'. I have however seen people say exactly as I have in conversations and been torn down just for that. It's madness.

You are acting like “trans women are biologically different from cis women” is somehow a controversial statement by itself. It’s only controversial when people are using it to discredit or discriminate against trans people, which it often is.

No, I'm saying I have seen people viciously attacked solely for this statement, with no other surrounding issues discussed. I dislike transphobes immensely, but I also dislike people who like to use any scrap they can to attack people - even when it's for a neutral and factual statement.

Links?

Chimamanda Ngozie Adichie is the most famous example of this I can think of. Unless she's made further comments since that I'm unaware of, then the reason she was initially attacked was for saying that trans women are trans women and biological women are biological women.

I'll admit I haven't read in-depth so I may have missed anything further.

Adichie, as much as it saddens me, did way more than just make a factual statement and get in trouble for it. She basically endorsed JKR’s TERF manifesto for one thing, and then there’s the very, very complicated mess with her former protégée who’s now come out as non-binary. I’m not totally unsympathetic to Adichie (might be biased because I like her work) but I am disappointed by some of her statements.

Anyway, nope, try again.

I can't prove all the times I've seen it personally. So here's an experiment for you if you want to see it yourself. Make a sock account and find a few boards and post just as I have and then see the frothing at the mouth start. It won't fail you.

If someone has to do their own research because you can't prove the statements you brought up, that means you full of it. Your faux civility is transparently hiding the fact that you have no idea what to do when someone calls you out on your nonsense.
