I love Athrun/Cagalli, but it made total sense for them to break up eventually and I'm kind of glad they did. Not all couples need to stay together forever.

How do you feel about Kira/Athrun/Lacus? That's my Seed OT3.

OP
That is also a great OT3! Here for it! (I saw some douji recently but they were the typical hentai ones. u.u Why do gay ships have all possibly kinds of doujis and het ships get only ooc hardcore porn ones with inflated boobs and way too many bodily fluids???)

My theory is that since gay relationships being the main ones in most anime is rare, there's more room to explore a variety of non-sexual and sexual things the canon or potential couples could do.

Whereas heterosexual couples are the dominant ones, so some of the only things they'll usually never show in most anime is them having sex. So doujinshi and fanart featuring het ships will be PWP for otaku guys. Girls can enjoy them too, of course. But these dj aren't usually made for them, or for guys that prefer subtlety.
