I buy a decent amount of ebooks. I usually spend from $1-7 for self-published works and $5-10 for traditionally published. I hate when traditionally published ebooks cost the same as their paperback version (I maintain that ebooks should be cheaper).
I only caved for this once for one of my favorite authors at $16 for the ebook because I was too eager to read it and didn't want to wait to find the paperback. The most I spent on a "single book" self-pub was $13 and I loved the book so I was satisfied paying that price, but a lot of other readers were mad that the author had split the story and priced how she did, but *shrug* it's still cheaper than a trad-pub paperback, she deserved the money imo.
