As a mid-thirties ace gal, this secret makes me happy. I've only written a very tiny amount of smut and I'm not sure how good it is, but it's nice to hear that other people are out there writing good smut without hands-on experience.

The frustrating thing is that, if I had had sex, I would probably be deliberately making unrealistic choices a lot of the time, because I'm pretty sure the smut I tend to find hot is very idealized. But I hate the thought of writing unrealistic smut without knowing it's unrealistic. I'm constantly looking up things like, "How much precome do men actually produce?" I already know that in my fic I'm going to write that he was so turned on there was a very visible spot on the front of his gray boxers. I don't care if it's unrealistic; I'm doing it! But I still feel the need to know whether it's unrealistic or not.
