Got a mani-pedi and looked at the John Mulaney/Olivia Munn MESS online. Stopped at my favorite tea shop and got a rose milk tea. It's stupid hot here today and I feel gross/grimy/sweaty, even after a shower, and I'm so fucking over this shitty hot weather and smoky air.

Ooo, that whole thing just makes me cringe and feel kinda sad.

Yep, he's doing literally everything they tell you NOT to do in rehab and a baby is the cherry on the Holy Living Fuck What Are You Doing cake.

What mess? What happened now besides him knocking her up?

From what I gather: he had a drug/alcohol relapse and checked into rehab either right before or right after telling his wife (and apparently blindsiding her with the news) that he was done with his marriage. He left rehab after 30 days before relapsing again and checking back into rehab for another 2 months. No idea how far along the pregnancy is but he's still married to his soon to be ex and now there's a baby on the way with Munn. Its pretty much a playbook of how to screw everything up as an addict.

This is a sidenote, but I find that term very funny in this context. She's 40, so I just assume it was IVF.

Ehh, I know a couple of women who had oops babies in their early 40s, so its possible he ~knocked her up~. Plus it would be...awkward as hell if she used IVF for this, all things considered.

Debating whether I want to just open them and get to work plotting an elaborate display for them, or set up to record the unboxing, because I really wish I had someone to share this glee with. 21 years, and FINALLY official merch for my favorite game.

But I mean, I might go past squee and into cringe, considering how much I love this game and these characters, so maybe I don't want that documented on video...

I don't feel one bit like fixing dinner tonight so I'm going to go out and get curry to take home at this great Indian restaurant in my neighborhood. I also spent some time earlier this afternoon drinking caramel apple flavored tea and listening to the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

My sister's car broke down so I had to take my nephew to school. And then I had to get off early because he got sick (probably ear infection).

Don't worry you'll find other folks who are upwards in age as well (I've had classes with people in their 30s-40s when I had decided to go back after my bachelor's -- back into another undergrad program). The school had people who had whole ass families, grown people switching careers or going for the first time, as well as the youth!

I was going to go into town, but it's windy and raining and I decided to stay inside and bake. I've got some dough sitting in the fridge waiting for me to decide on a cutter, and I'm considering making a batch of brownies to stick in the freezer for emergencies.

Under the dryer, getting my hair done. I'm very hungry and I don't know what to cook for dinner :O suggestions ?

Really basic comfort food, like mac and cheese.
Or maybe a stir fry? Something quick to make, at any rate.

Busy day at work. My supervisor is out with COVID, so I'm handling every immigration case right now. And tomorrow will be even busier because I've got 7 client meetings. But I'm really enjoying the job and getting positive feedback.

Just about to go to bed.

Had a virtual meeting where it took me at least 10 minutes to realize I was the only one with my camera on. Most online meetings I do have everyone visible so that's my default. This was a large meeting and we were watching powerpoint presentations, so there was no point in having cameras on. When I realized, I switched it off. People contacted me after about how "emrarassing" that must have been. Um, I was in my office, fully clothed, and not picking my nose, so what's embarrassing? The pandemic sure made everyone weird about this kind of thing. We used to do these in person and we could all see each other's faces then!

How do you deal with online relationships?

I'm realizing maybe I have shitty online etiquette haha. I'm so used to the anonymous nature in which I walk around F!S and how I used my Twitter account for years I'm wondering if it was a mistake to use my one account to get into "stan Twitter". I wasn't really expecting to make any new friends but I guess I'm realizing being a casual fan means I won't really be part of the big crowds all being excited together when a big event happens.

It's really tough breaking into Tumblr fan/stan culture.

If I can't maintain a modicum of anonymity, I don't want to do it at all.
