How do you deal with online relationships?

I'm realizing maybe I have shitty online etiquette haha. I'm so used to the anonymous nature in which I walk around F!S and how I used my Twitter account for years I'm wondering if it was a mistake to use my one account to get into "stan Twitter". I wasn't really expecting to make any new friends but I guess I'm realizing being a casual fan means I won't really be part of the big crowds all being excited together when a big event happens.
