My half a cent:

I have had zero issues uploading fic ever on ff.net. I find it easier than AO3. I only find the quality of fic better on AO3 when looking at old fic because AO3 wasn't open to everyone back in the day so it kept the fic quality higher. AO3 is better for finding fic pairing, but the tags irritate me because there are no standard usage. So, they're about equal for me, just have different strengths/weaknesses.

But at least AO3 doesn't run from smut.

I've been reading/writing on both for over ten years
