How's it going, FS?

What's everyone been up to today or lately?
fishguts: Bugs Bunny chews a carrot, caring not for the gun that's pointing at his chest. (yeah sure whatever)

Well, I went to see the doctor, at long last. Turns out the itchy rash on both my arms and spreading is indeed eczema - and due to the fact that I've kinda been having itchy eyes, too, the doctor suspects allergies, which is what I was suspecting, too. I'm no doctor, nor am I any kind of expert on allergies and -gens, but I'm pretty sure that if it is an allergic reaction that I'm having, then it's to something in the house that I moved in to a few months ago. 'Cause it was those same few months ago that the rash first flared up.

I'm thinking the cause of the reaction might be the dog that one of my housemates has and keeps indoors - I've never lived indoors with a dog before. Or it might be the pet rats that my housemate's partner keeps indoors - I've never lived indoors with pet rats before, either - or it's something else in the house, like the air or the heater, even the washing machine? I haven't an idea at all.

In any case, prescriptions were prescribed and I got them filled immediately. One is a topical ointment that I have to put on the affected area in the evenings. And, well. After putting it on tonight, my arms felt like they were crawling with ants and the urge to itch was something fierce - it became so unbearable that I had to gently rinse off the ointment a few hours later. My arms feel clearer and better now, but I'm worried that I'm not doing the medicine properly. I'm reassuring myself by telling myself that tomorrow night I think I'll try putting on the ointment just before I climb into bed, and sleep through the itchiness rather than be so distracted and discomforted by it.
