Cool, the next time I have to move, I'm not going to pay the moving crew if any of them are doing it as a side job or just because they like doing it. Or the local gal I buy my hatching chicken eggs from, I'm just going to take the eggs without paying her, because she's breeding those chickens as a mere hobby. The guy who's fixing our surgery spotlight at work, he does that as his 'retirement hobby', man I better go tell our office manager we can save a few hundred bucks. Clearly the guy's not taking the task seriously enough to deserve to be paid.

Stop thinking this shit is okay to pull on artists when you would never do it to other people (or maybe you would, in which case at least you're being an equal-opportunity thief, I guess). Making art your main source of income is INCREDIBLY difficult. Most professional artists I know have a second job that's not related to their art field, OR they have multiple jobs within their field. Or they're lucky enough to have a very understanding and supportive spouse who has a full-time job themselves.
