Yeah, I'm curious if there's supposed to be something inherently sexy about trying to maneuver sheep. In my limited observation, sheep can be kind of stubborn, so maybe that's part of it?

(I would have gone for moving hay bales or something as a more cliche show of strength.)

I think it's that sheep are funny animals so there's a humorous incongruousness to it in addition to the sexiness

Both? But also the physicality of farm life specifically relating to farm animals is interesting to me. Its rough and strong yet tender and caring. It's hard work and the animal is your source of income and you might eat it one day but until then you treasure and protect and care for it. It's not like throwing around an inanimate object but it's also not like handling a small pet. I can't think of very many examples where a person is strong and domineering while also caring and benevolent. (Unless real farmers are really kind and tender with haybales. The closest thing to farming in my family history was closer to cowboys.) I'm sure someone who knew more about actual stuff than me could think of a dozen other situations, farm related or not, that would fit this niche.

To answer your unasked but implied question: no, my ideal fic wouldn't end with one character wearing sheep ears and a fleece during sex. I'm mostly just trying to phrase my secrets interestingly.

haha, noooo, I was really just wondering if you tend to sheep differently than other animals, and its like sexier, like the shearing process? I only really know cows, pigs, and dogs and then barely. Thanks for answering that makes a lot of sense!

Sorry, ok. To answer this specifically. Cattle (in my imagination) are handled while the human is on horseback, they're branded and corralled and are primarily used for meat. So there's no time you lay hands on them and make their life better except as a vet or of you're treating them like a pet. You dont really overpower a steer, they weight 2 thousand fucking pounds. I want a Clark Kent, not specifically Superman. Pigs are also primarily used for meat, so same thing minus the horses. Milking a cow/goat is a careful, gentle task but it's a feat of endurance not brute strength. Chickens are tiny little assholes and gathering eggs is delicate but not specifically a helpful thing to the chicken, you know?

So, like, I guess sheep specifically? I dont know enough about real livestock rearing.

haha, it's cool, this is a really thorough explanation of where you're at and I totally get it. You want to strength AND care, which requires an animal you can do both with. Honestly, totally understandable.

But rather than being specifically buff it's being *strong*. There are so few ways strength is demonstrated in modern life/media without violence. And sure perfect musculature is neat to look at but that's not how working bodies look without specific effort. Idk what I'm saying here except big tummies/thighs are welcome in my ideal fic.
