I love Buffy for the most part, but I can't stand Xander. While I enjoy her somewhat in her first season, mostly I dislike Rose Tyler.

I've come to dislike Poe in the new Star Wars movies mostly because he doesn't face any consequences for his actions in TLJ.

I disliked the way Kili was written in the Hobbit movies. He was more annoying to me than Tauriel, actually.

Lower Decks. I hate Mariner so damn much, I wish they hadn't made her the co-lead of the show. She is just the worst, and the series only barely seems to acknowledge this. That high speed car chase through a crowded space mall when she was running drugs, yes really, was just the absolute nadir of her character and completely unpunished by the narrative. Rewarded by the meta narrative, really. That was when I was done with her character entirely.

I hate that it spills over onto her mother too, due to what is essentially nepotism, because that means that I now have as my least favorite characters the two most prominent black female characters in Star Trek.

Tony Stark is my least favorite MCU character (Darcy being second place).

I really could not stand Sam on SPN by the time I stopped watching it.

Lori on The Walking Dead was infuriating (though I did stop watching because of Negan so maybe he is worse).

Never liked Scott on Teen Wolf but mostly he was just boring AF.

Game of Thrones would have to Daenerys. I know she was beloved but I always found her story line boring and it didn't get better when she crossed the ocean. I think they have not put Sansa and Daenerys against each other, I might have grown to like her. GIVE ME WOMEN WORKING TOGETHER!

well there are over 600 distinct characters in One Piece lmfao so let me focus on fan favorites who I hate.

A lot of people are really into Eustass Kid and I really can't stand him. He's had a couple moments of kickass in the latest arc but it's not enough for me to actually like him. Fandom is 120% all into Carrot and I hate her because of it - she'd be comfortably forgettable if fandom wasn't so into her and her furry boobs. She made the top 10 in the popularity poll this year ffs and she's just...one of a dozen Minks who happened to be with Luffy for one arc and will absolutely not be joining the crew any more than Rebecca or anyone else they claimed would totally join in the past 12 years of canon. Jinbei is #10 get over it, fishdad forever.

Speaking of the popularity poll, I straight up Don't Like Crocodile, Buggy, Tashigi, Rob Lucci, Blackbeard, Akainu, Kizaru, or Ulti, just going through the top 50. Most of the other characters I actively dislike are also not overall liked (e.g. fuckin Cariboo or Caesar Clown) but I reserve most of my active vitriol for the mentioned characters that fandom loves.

Note: I've only just gotten to the patch content for Stormblood so no spoilers for anything past that please. :)

Dislike is a bit too strong for my feelings towards her, but I really don't care for Lyse in ff14 all that much. I get her want to help her people and I even admire her fire and resolve but... god she's so stupid at times and I could not take the game telling me that she should be a leader seriously at all. She runs headfirst into combat punching first every time, she is not leadership material! She's not hate-able for me but I find it hard to care about her at the same time. They could off her in Endwalker and I wouldn't be sad. :x

Minfillia on the other hand I actually disliked, she was completely useless and I had to rescue her so many times, she always got kidnapped! Her god-awful voice acting didn't help endear her to me either, but her writing was awful and did nothing to make me like her or give me a reason to care about her. I wasn't sad when she left.

Prussia and America from Hetalia. Loud, obnoxious, and completely self-absorbed (though at least Prussia has had more development than America as of late)... why does anyone like them lmao

I don't dislike Dean (because I think his character was very effective), but he was quite honestly the worst(TM) every chance he got in SPN. Bobby was second least, but that dislike was mostly fandom created rather than show created (it was a little show tho).

I've written about my antipathy for Steve Rogers before.

I can't really countenance Joanna Mason in the Hunger Games series. it felt like she always directed energy away from the pace of both the movies and books.

Does mythology count? I am beginning to despise depictions of hades (hadestown aside).

...I mean, if "love to hate" counts? I don't not enjoy everyone in Vagrant Story canon, but I enjoy Rosencrantz because he is so horrible and slimy and everyone else in the canon knows what a rat he is and so he is treated accordingly. I've been writing a story that involves him pretty heavily and I'm the one writing him and sometimes I just look at the dialogue I just wrote and go "omg you SCUMBAG." And then I cackle with glee.

Really most of the fandoms I've been into in the last 20 years are like that. I don't actively dislike anyone except in the sense that they are written to be a terrible person, and in that sense they are well-written and serve their purpose perfectly so I appreciate them for that. Worst I ever seem to get is "Well... that character, uh, exists..." I don't know if it's the love for the fandom allowing me to put up with more than I normally would, or if I just can't get into a fandom if there's a character or two I dislike.

I love G1 Transformers, but I hate Wheelie. His constant rhyming drives me up a wall.

Scooby Doo is fun, but Scrappy Doo isn’t.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is great, but Shinji Ikari should take a long hike off a short pier.

The manga Death Note is a phenomenal read, but I wanted to dropkick MisaMisa as soon as I figured out what she was like.

Luna from FFXV. The fuckin' dog could have filled her role and literally nothing would have changed, but man are we supposed to care about her for some reason.

I love every character from Digimon (the Adventure seasons and Tamers, never watched the others) except Kari/Hikari and TK/Takeru. I like their Digimon themselves. I just hate THEM. They're boring when they're not being preachy.

And I hate to say it, but I kind of want to add Yolei/Miyako to that list. She used to be one of my favorites, but she gets more and more annoying and the opposite of relatable each time.

Peter Quill is definitely my least favorite major MCU character, to the point that I struggle to enjoy the Guardians movies because, just, ugh, the dudebro energy is too much.

I also kind of hate both Xander Harris and Ross Gellar, though it's a stretch to say I'm in the fandom for either Buffy or Friends.

Even though I haven't watched past the first few episodes of Vikings, I do watch clips on Youtube solely to see Lagertha in action. She's really amazing to me and in spite of not actually being into the show, I love her.

Haven't watched any of Ted Lasso yet, but I like looking at gifsets on Tumblr (particularly of Ted and Rebecca) because all the most popular characters do seem like fun. :D

I think Amber from Invincible is probably the worst character in the show. All she had to do was trust her Boyfriend and they would have been fine. He lied to her for a good reason, he had a job to do and she ought to have understood that. She might not have agreed, but she owed it to him to put his requirements first, given what they were. Her getting upset was uncalled for. He was still looking after her, even if he had to lie to her and blow her off a few times.

I can understand all the other phrases being on the no-no list but... "circle the wagons"? (And elsewhere, I've seen "hold the fort" is also bad for the same reasons.) My understanding is that this is bad because fur traders and pioneers used to... build forts for protection and arrange their wagons in a circle as a defensive technique against possible attack. So? Didn't attacks happen? Wouldn't it make sense to build a fort with walls when you're in the middle of wilderness?

I mean... yes, it refers to a historical period where there were clashes between Native American tribes and settlers, and it was a time that was chock full of racism, but... come on.

I had kind of an exhausting weekend and today at work was nuts as well. And then I ate a couple peanut m&ms and part of a molar. I was planning to pay half my property taxes with my next paycheck but I guess I'll be buying a crown or an extraction.

I don't have enough to spend on an implant and also full on surgery freaks me out; I refused to be put under even to get all four impacted wisdom teeth out; I made them pump me full of novocaine instead.

Does anybody know a way to find ACTUAL Supernatural casefic? What magic combination of tags searched and blocked?

It seems like every time I try about half of them are either an excuse for X to have a close call and realize he really loves Y, or an unrealistically skilled and hot OFC to catch the eye of a canon character. And while I wouldn't mind dropping hints that X/Y are in an official relationship or having Dean flirt with every single OC, I'm looking for something that reads like an actual episode.
