I only ship Adam with Tadashi, but I can see how easy it would be to ship him with basically everyone else (with the exception of Miya, of course).

I thought I was gonna hate Adam based on everything my online friends were telling me, but man, he's so entertaining that it's kinda hard to hate him even when he's hurting my favorite characters.

I loved Inuyasha, and I just have no interest in watching this. I don't want to know about the adventures of my beloved characters' children--I want to know about my beloved characters' adventures! And if they have no more adventures, then no more canon please.

You're definitely not alone, OP. I adored Inuyasha, but I'm not into watching sequels starring the kids (especially when those kids didn't even get to be raised by my favorite characters). I gave it a shot and I probably would have kept watching if Moroha was the main character, but she's not, so I dropped it.

I really wanted to like Yashahime but Towa and Setsuna are such lead weights as main characters. They're so incredibly boring, Sesshoumaru comes off as even more of a dick than he did in the original show (and I think it's worse here because I'm pretty sure they want to portray him as caring about his daughters and Rin and just being cool with a secret heart of gold, at least the original series generally knew that he was a dick and it made the hints of real feeling work better) and Moroha is criminally underused.

Also honestly even if everything else was passable I think the show would have lost me with the backstory. Sorry if I wanted to assume that after all they went through in the series Inuyasha and Kagome got to be married and live happily ever after raising their kids alongside their friends, rather than being trapped for 16 years or whatever while their daughter grows up into a stranger and they will never really get to be her parents again.

Not to state the obvious but the important thing is making sure the group is on the same page with what kind of game is intended. There's nothing inherently wrong with playing murderhobos as long as everyone is playing murderhobos. Anything more than there's something wrong with playing romancehobos.

But also, the whole D&D alignment system is bad in 95% of cases and mostly shouldn't be used in any game that's trying to do something more involved than murderhobos anyway.

I hate the alignment system in D&D so much. When players actually stay in character and play to their alignment, it works great, but most of the time no one ever does and everyone ends up just being murder and/or romance hobos. Nothing against those concepts and I love them in less serious games, but sometimes I'd like to do serious RP, not just fuck off and seduce the big bad :(

I’m the opposite. I love Chandler, but could never be that person in a friend group. I’m never quick with anything like a joke. But maybe that’s for the best, considering a full-on Chandler would be grating IRL(not saying you’re grating though, just the character tropes applied to real world situations).

Pretty sure the only reason I love him though is not because I think he’s genuinely funny, it’s just that “person with class clown personality who’s treated like crap by the rest of the cast, but kind of brings it on themselves” is one of my many very specific Types.
