Truthfully, a majority of it is. There is the occasional good genfic and het story, but about 95% of the fic I see is yaoi. I have some friends that ship Yusuke/Keiko and Genkai/Toguro which keeps some het in the fandom. And I've written a bit of Koenma/Botan myself.

I remember waaaay in the past reading something that was very good and barely talked about the romance at all. It has such potential for that sort of thing.
