I find it unnecessary but I don't see a reason to hate it. It's often surrounded by bad writing but not always, and when its present in an otherwise fine story it's not inherently bad. Like for example if a story were about someone's insecurity about dick size, or someone's dick being abnormally large and having to work around it then why not include it if it's relevant?

It's just jarring if the whole story has gone without any concrete measurements or detailed descriptions of anything else and then suddenly the penis was 6.333 inches, repeating of course, that it gets like lol

Also if you're gonna get that detailed about length then damn you might as well get into penis circumference because I'm imagining a long thin noodle of no measurable or remarkable girth

....That last bit reminds me of when my brother and I were hate-watching some dumb dating game on MTV ages ago, where they put the "dateable" pool into various categories based on a couple basic questions, and to start off the contestant would narrow them down by choosing between the options.

They did a Christmas episode, and one of the categories was revealed to be "package size"... and the two options were "stocking stuffer" or "yule log". So my teenage bro and I were sitting there just absolutely horrified, then after a second, he goes "....candy cane~" and I just about died laughing.

(Well, they DO tend to be at least six inches...)
