Well, no. Keep in mind that historical cases tend to survive to the present day because they're more interesting in the first place, so it's like a built in screening mechanism. If some dude 100 years ago thinks he saw a ghost but it was a shadow and he's not sure what else he saw, and that's all the detail... that story is unlikely to still be retold in the 21st century.

I'm saying that on the off chance that your comment was based on a lack of understanding, and not just because you think making snide remarks about other people's interests makes you superior.
