What tags do you filter out no matter what fandom you are in?

I'll happily read any character interpreted as trans if the summary sounds interesting enough, but I have to filter out the porn/explicit tag because I have zero trust in most fandoms writing any decent smut with a trans person. I've been betrayed way too many times to try it again.

Also in my current fandom I have to filter out hurt no comfort when looking for hurt/comfort fics because so many people keep tagging both for some reason.

A/B/O (and variations thereof) and Reader fic. I haven't had to filter out Reader fic in a while though, because the fandom I've been reading lately very rarely has any.

Alternate Universe - High School and Alternate Universe - College. I've read a few good ones, but quite frankly the majority you'll get just scrolling through AO3 are kind of generic and not something I'm into. I'll only read them if they're in the bookmarks of someone I've clicked on because I like their writing or we seem to frequent the same fics.

On a related note, Alternate Universe - Modern and Alternate Universe - No Powers/Alternate Universe - Human where applicable. If it's historical, I want it to be historical or at least not the boring kind of modern where they're just, like, normal people. Same with "no powers" and "human" AUs - I just genuinely don't get the point when most of the time the powers or non-human-ness is a major part of the character or fandom.

The 'reader' tag and 'Darcy Lewis' aka the character people use when they want to do an OC fic without doing an OC fic. That is really it for all fandoms. I don't filter out the tag but I also don't read first person fic.

I really can't be bothered to filter out tags until I've tripped over the third fic I don't want.

Frequent fliers include: Omegaverse, Alternate Universe - High School AU, [least favorite character from huge fandom with lots of crossovers], Character: Reader, Character: Y/N, Alternate Universe - Coffee Shop.

I've read good fics for all of these tags. But on the whole I'm not fond of them unless there's a *lot* else going on.

Daddy kink, A/B/O, Ageplay, /reader or /OC pairings. Plenty of others I scroll past but those are the ones I don't even want to know exist.

Crossover, fluff, and school/coffee AUs are the main ones but I also no longer click on fics that explicitly tag for neurodivergent characters which more often than not end up being written as wildly OOC.

Mpreg first and foremost. Modern/High School/College AU and related AUs. Omegaverse. Trans Character. "Character X has a vagina" because it's gotten very popular in one of my fandoms.

Anything relating to omegaverse, because it's not at all my jam and in fact the underlying concepts fill me with anxiety, and modern AUs in historical fiction fandoms or fandoms for things created in other eras (e.g. Jane Austen novels), because nearly all of them are badly written and/or just are about the author's completely OCs with the characters' names tacked on

Soulmate AU is one of mine that hasn't been mentioned yet.

There's just something about it that makes me uncomfortable, for reasons pretty well laid out in Secret 3.

reader fic/self insert is a big one. OOC (not everyone who writes OOC tags, but at least it helps filter out the most blatant stuff). Character bashing. A/B/O and omegaverse. Alternate universe-modern. high School AU. Foot fetish.

Any form of Reader fic. A/B/O. Gender-swapped characters. Depending on the fandom, any form of “no powers” or “always human” or (in Star Wars) “modern setting”. Tags like “Dead Dove-Do Not Eat”, which I appreciate, honestly, because it lets me know up front that this fic is very much not going to be my cup tea.

I try hard to use filters sparingly, because I occasionally like fic in foreign languages. ( All of the different possible types of typos really trip me up. )

My list:
A/B/O, because of lack of interest.
Typos, because they are annoying.
Long fic, because I adore drabbles.
Mpreg, because I have a love/hate relationship with it.
