Right?? Like there are several things it could be. Hell, I've seen Casual Carls give the same spiel over characters who are textually, canonically gay and in love, so nothing is going to shock me there...

To be honest, I also wonder what OP means by loud subtext and actor support, too, because that can mean a lot of things as well.
