OP, the only time I've heard "huh, I wonder what that could mean" in reference to things that seem gay, it's only been in a tongue-in-cheek way of acknowledging the gay subtext. I've never heard it once being used to shut down gay theories, unless it's discussing perhaps queerbaiting, but even then it's acknowledging the gay subtext.

A youtube I like is like "I don't really have opinions about shipping but [long drawn out explanation on why he hates all shipping]" and I just. I don't know why you're watching Teen Dramas if you're not into relationships. He also doesn't even bring up the *massively* popular slash ships for the properties he covers. I still like him I've just got to keep that in mind.

Honestly, I'm fine with it, if only because I KNOW that these are the same type of people who will instantly turn on him the moment the show does something they don't like. Meanwhile I'm just gonna be over in the corner, enjoying myself even though I still have some stuff I prefer over other stuff.

I do like RTD and hadn't been a fan of Moffat and Chibnall - but I do wish we could have gotten someone else - especially someone more experienced with science-fiction just to inject new ideas into the show.

The X Wing books were FANTASTIC, especially Aaron Allston's. It was one of the few SW novel series that felt character driven and really made you get attached to not just the main characters but the secondary ones too.
