Had a truly exhausting day after a equally tiring Cyber Monday.

Not sus, though. I don’t even play Among Us.

I'm afraid that if Grand Admiral Thrawn is ever shown in a live-action context that he's going to be played by Benedict Cumberbatch, and he'll be like BBC Sherlock, which is a way different vibe than even the animated version of him.

Got a short phone interview tomorrow for a job. No clue how that will go since I've never done one. Dreading tomorrow since it is the start of inventory week at my current job. Trying to get some New Years Resolutions worked out. Fighting the ol' depression.

All of my relatives are FINALLY getting back to me about what they/their kids want for Christmas.

got some back pay from work which is a nice surprise, waiting for a thunderstorm to happen and expecting to be disappointed when it doesn’t

The prolonged social isolation I'm dealing with due to covid is definitely taking a noticeable toll on my ability to act normal and professional in an academic setting. I've said more stupid and inadvisable shit to and in front of professors this semester than I have in the past 2 years. My ability to do my retail job isn't super affected but customer service is different from academia. I'm just getting my toe in the door of the academic career ladder and I'm starting to get paranoid that I might tank my chances of advancement by acting like a fool in front of too many people I need to have a good opinion of me

I am so pissed off after a stupid day at work. Why? People putting in ridiculous last minute requests with shit they can literally do themselves, and honestly, really ought to as it's related more to their department. Of course I and a coworker told my supervisor and thankfully, they were of the "wtf, no" opinion and decided to take care of the current mess.

Still, part of me dreads the outcome (kind of a thing I learned from an unhealthy upbringing), even though I think they were being ridiculous af. Yeah, I get you have shit to do. But here's a shocker: so do we. In fact, we can't accommodate last minute requests when we already have so much on our plate, especially when you put that shit in literally Tuesday morning and expect us to have everything up and ready by Thursday. (And they'd better not go "well, we asked something last week" because no, an inquiry is not a request, they gave us no timeline or specific details.)

I also hate that we (read: just me) are going to have to change our procedures to accommodate their request in general, since it's still literally something they can do themselves and probably should. But at least this time, it won't be a stupid last minute request with a long goddamn list.

Goddamn it. They pulled this shit twice today too, whether or not intentionally, idk. But it's still annoying and I don't want them setting some new shitty standard for us.

I can only hope we don't get shit over this (well, more shit). And all this while I'm recovering from the effects of my Covid shot Monday (I feel like I got hit by a Mack truck). fml.

Work was nuts, didn't get a real break till after 2pm because constant testing/tweaking. Would be done with that project except after my last email around 2pm, person stopped replying when all I needed to know was what email to use for notifications. -_-

Took a short walk after work in the sunset, head didn't kill me for once! Played Animal Crossing, spent way too long building Kid Cat a secret lair when really I want to move him in with Agent S. Now listening to a friend playing Call of Duty on Twitch, which is kind of like that thing where you go over to someone's house to hang out and you're both sitting on the couch but one's playing a game and the other's just reading or drawing or something.

I'm enjoying NOT having to go anywhere and just stay home that I really want to cancel my doctor's appointment AND the ultrasound needed on my breast in 2 weeks...but I won't. I just don't want to do anything but read and watch movies at home. Winter is coming and it's hibernation time for me!

I had a breast ultrasound and it was only a cyst. I hope yours has the same outcome.

Got my booster yesterday. Feel like garbage today lol
