The X Wing books were FANTASTIC, especially Aaron Allston's. It was one of the few SW novel series that felt character driven and really made you get attached to not just the main characters but the secondary ones too.

They didn't stop existing. And they weren't "un-canoned" because they never were canon. Nothing has changed except that actual canon post-OT now exists. Legends/EU is still there, being its own thing.

Right?? Like there are several things it could be. Hell, I've seen Casual Carls give the same spiel over characters who are textually, canonically gay and in love, so nothing is going to shock me there...
