Seriously, this stuff happens all the time. I've seen self-confessed fans of video games and/or movies with multiple graphic sexual assaults screaming about 'consent issues' for 'problematic' ships in completely unrelated fandoms.

It really, really is nothing to do with content and everything to do with controlling people's fannish experience.
