The idea that "every single person is so dumb that they'll immediately go into monkey-see-monkey-do mode despite media being literally fictional" is just about as dumb as the idea that no fictional media ever has any impact on anyone's views or behaviors at any time. South Park has a consistent ideology. It argues for that ideology through the show. To the extent that it is successful, it convinces people to agree with and adopt that ideology. There's nothing wrong with talking about that.

Oh no I agree with talking about it - I was mostly ranting about people who go on the extreme end where they just want to be right with no room for discussion (and if you disagree in any way, even in a neutral position, you're agreeing with bad morals because of evil reasons or whatever).

I honestly wish that people would be up for a discussion rather than a fight to be the more pure/morally right person that leads to dreaded discourse.

In addition to South Park: I agree with the ideology issue - its interesting in a way to analyze as a series that's been going on since the 90s and I've always thought that part of the humor was that a group of people going along with a very absurd take for the sake of learning a lesson or coming to a solution to the episode's problem (though I haven't watched the series properly since series 19-ish so I have no idea what's been happening since) - but of course like with anything people will have their own take and that's including with agreeing with the certain points that ultimately lead to harmful beliefs unto others; so I agree that its had its fair share of influence on people.
Although I firmly believe there are other components involved rather than just giving South Park complete credit - such as internet culture being a breeding ground that can sway in any direction depending on the site itself: ie sites like 4chan and reddit where other people will agree among themselves or will think its 'super intelligent comedy that you just don't get' - which is always the first big red flag for anything but an intelligent conversation.

South Park has a consistent ideology

It really doesn't at all. I don't mean that like those "oh they make fun of everyone" defenders do, I mean it comes off like like it really, literally has no idea what the fuck its message is. Parker and Stone have said they usually just write whatever seems funny about something topical at a moment's notice, and it shows.

DA

This. They're edgelords but I don't think they do have a consistent ideology beyond that.
