Present Thread - What did you receive or give this year for Christmas?

(Anonymous) 2021-12-26 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
If you did presents this year, of course.

After receiving a Christmas bonus from work I treated myself to some books, games, porn, and a new replacement Wacom Intuos. Because truly, are we not our own best Santas?

I got sweaters, a pair of boots, chocolates, two Funko Pops, and a bunch of gift cards for Barnes and Noble (I'm gonna buy so much manga). I also bought myself a cute dress and a new doll.

NAYRT

Which manga? I've always resisted buying manga, but I think I'm gonna go ahead and get the JJK arcs -- all of them lol

Nice! I'm thinking of getting Wotakoi and Sasaki & Miyano.

I got a fancy full-sized dual-temp hot glue gun, a fancy multi-setting electric kettle, a kitchen scale. Very excited.

I gave $300 worth of gift cards, idek how many lbs of tins of homemade fudge, a Discworld print, small weird knickknacks, gag gifts, pretty reusable bags, a cat cave bed shaped like a shark, and a bunch of cat and Shakespeare themed stuff, plus stockings with candy, novelty socks, chapstick, ornaments, cute enamel pins, and random silly stuff.

I was given a food processor I could mulch a tree with to replace my old broken secondhand one, a Christmas ornament and an enamel pin from my longest running fandom, and a gift card.

And apparently a coworker got me Krampus cookie cutters but I won't see him until Monday. Maybe next year everyone will get Krampus cookies. (Tbh I hope Mari Lwyd starts getting weird merch in the US, too.)

Oh man, I would kill for a Mari Lwyd cookie cutter (or a Mari Lwyd anything), but the Krampus one sounds like fun. And yay for that food processor!

Also, Happy Hogswatch, fellow Discworlder!

I got a really cute laundry bag for keeping my socks from getting lost in the wash (and some pre-Christmas nice socks which necessitate such a thing), a Funko pop, a CAH expansion, a wealth of D&D stuff, some enamel pins and a cute little figurine, as well as some little treats and little useful things.

I gave one of my sisters a ring she can use as a palette while doing nail art, and my other sister a cute Lego set, and we got our mom a keyboard vacuum and some bakeware-- and my not-yet-delivered-upon gift to her is that I'll use the pan we bought for baked donuts to make her her first batch, because they're her favorite. I also baked gluten-free cheddar olive oil muffins for the ladies (and myself) for Christmas morning breakfast-- for my sister who's gluten-free, it's the kind of thing she never gets and they were such a hit that I've been asked to do them more often, which is the best thanks a baker can get.
