God, this drives me absolutely insane. I have no idea what the equivalent would be, but "bro" is NOT it.

If ours did that I'm conflicted over the fact that it'd be a welcome change to parroting memorised common Latin/Greek phrases as though it's impressive. At least the cringe of "bro" would (maybe) expose the act a lot better.

I suspect professional translations available for streaming sometimes get translators who aren't native English speakers themselves. They're full of mistakes like that, things that aren't technically wrong but that sound jarringly unnatural.
