The last drop of my last bottle of McGibbons Red Ribbon. I'm not sure I can get anymore, my usual supplier has none left and says they aren't expecting to get any more at all as the parent company has moved more to quirky novelty whiskies rather than traditional blends. . Which is a shame, because it is a very nice all around Scotch blend that is warming without smacking your sinuses in the face with smoke or the sourness you get with some of the less peated blends. And it wasn't motherfucking Diageo, which I refuse to buy brands from. Fuck Diageo, always and forever.

I feel like it doesn’t really make evolutionary sense for us to live more than 30 years or so. I know part of it is that we’ve invented medicine and things that lengthen lifespan because we’re terrified of death, but that only accounts for the way we all live to be frickin’ 90 now, not for the fact that we used to die at 50 and not 25. Why are our lives so drawn out? We’re helpless children for much longer than any other species. Then we lose the ability to feel happiness and just continue chugging along for decades and decades and why?

So, I got my cartilage pierced last spring, was not the best in looking after it -- essentially it came out and I have a bit of keloid that's healing/gone down since it came out.

Now. I don't know if I'm being fully foolish/stupid, but I want to get pierced again (not the same ear), AND this time I'm gonna go for the double helix. I've learned my lesson (a part of me is asking really? And you're going to do this again? Fool.). In your experience, what's some of your best care practices and would you do what I'm doing or just take the failed first piercing as a sign to walk away?

I.e. this time, I'm getting something close to an undercut because last time my hair kept getting ALL up in it!
