tbh I rewatched it during the pandemic, and I found it a lot less problematic than shows that were made even in the 70s/80s.

Oh the seventies were not a good time for sexual equality or race relations, here in Britain at least. I don't know what America was like, but in the UK we had an abomination called "On The Buses" which was the most horrid show ever made.

It wasn’t better at all in America during that time either. I can’t think of any show made there at the time that sounds as bad as “On the Buses” though, but I’m sure there was something. I’m just glad the 70s are long over, and that things have improved at least a little, even though race relations in America especially still leave a lot to be desired.

I hated On The Buses and Steptoe And Son, I never found them to be funny.
