I might be forgetting something obvious, since it's been awhile since I was watching regularly, but isn't ILL "problematic" sort of in the same way that TOS is "problematic"?

Yes and no. On the whole I agree that the show was far more progressive than it was 'problematic' but it does still have its moments. I do remember in one of the earliest episodes Fred convinces Ricky to roofie Lucy as its a great way to keep her quiet and settled and that he does it to Ethyl all the time and she's never noticed it. That part of the episode is a pretty big oof as it's all played for laughs as well.

Ew. I definitely don't recall that... I wonder if that episode was sort of self-censored by the stations I used to get that played it. :P (Or maybe it was one of those I saw when I was so young that I didn't think about it much...)
