I've been a Vagrant Story fan for 20 years, and chronic illness has given me a pretty high pain threshold, so despite never having gotten a tattoo before, I am sorely tempted to get one on my back if I survive long enough.

Not sure if I want the Rood Inverse or regular Rood though. The latter would be useful for cosplay - if I got the Rood Inverse, I'd have to cover it up to do the cosplay I'm currently making, and have someone paint the regular one over whatever I'm using to conceal it. And the character who has the Rood Inverse is topless, so when I cosplay him I wear a bodysuit with it drawn on.

A friend of mine has suggested we get tattoos of our favorite pokemon (mine's Oddish, and that likewise has held for 20+ years), that might be a better first tattoo, hahah.

I've also entertained the thought of getting the Soul Eater rune from Suikoden on the back of my hand, but between that and the Rood/Rood Inverse I think that's just asking for trouble. (I swear I'm more a sadist than a masochist...)
