I'm not saying touch grass, but I am saying that it would be a very unique community that wouldn't discourage young adults from screaming in grocery stores with t-shirt based rage, and that most of us don't live in such unique communities.

I don't think you're doing anyone any favors by not indicating that this is a very, very slim possibility... so slim that it's not worth getting super anxious about.

Has that happened irl?

I know individuals experiences aren't universal, but the 'worst' that's happened to me for wearing a South Park tshirt was a guy asking if I should be wearing it since I was volunteering at a christian charity shop at the time. Don't think there's been that many situations where people go out their way to yell about a shirt unless they were looking for a reason to fight in the first place.

Unless the anime shirt happens to have a young girl bending over in nothing but undies on the front, or similar, I can't imagine this happening irl.

Yeah, if you post a picture of yourself online you might get those comments. But if there's one thing that slacktivists and keyboard warriors are, it's cowards so even in the unlikely case you met one of them irl, they wouldn't say shit. They might take a picture and post it online in a huff though.
