Re: Audiobooks

I mostly listen to historical/regency romance novels. My favorite author is Grace Callaway because her novels are spicy erotica with high drama and I like the plots as well as likable leads, both Heroine and Hero. A lot of romances have the Heroes that are asshats until the last second.

I went through a mystery thriller/true crime phase a couple years ago and I found listening to audiobooks of these while doing chores a good way to pass time. I really got into Gillian Flynn novels!
But what I mostly took away from it is that I really like Richard M. Davidson's voice. He does readings for a lot of nonfiction books. The first book with his narration I listened to was "Mindhunter" by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker. Currently listening to "Like Judgment Day" by Michael D'Orso with his narration.

I recently listened to Maggie Gyllenhaal narrate "The Bell Jar" by Sylvia Plath, and I found her performance engaging.
