Re: What changes between source material and adaptation were you happy about?

This one's probably an easy target, but the Mockingjay movies. When I read the book, I knew the movie (or movies) were going to be so much better.

For you to think it's an easy target, I can guess you must stay in a salty part of the fandom that's only around to complain about the books being trash, because I've never met any fan who didn't think the movies were terrible, shallow, and completely missed the point of the books.

DA

I haven't read the books, but I'm curious - what was the big point that the movies missed?

Chill out, there’s no reason to get pissy about such an offhand remark, or AYRT’s opinion.

Come on now. You need to try harder than that. But +2 for crafting something that could just as easily apply to any other set of movies/books.

But assuming you're not a troll, notice OP said book. Not books. You're the one who jumped to conclusions and assumed they were lumping them all together. Also, they never actually said the book was bad -- just that the movies based on the book were going to be better (because if you remember, there were two based on Mockingjay itself). It's not a stretch to see that the movies allowed multiple perspectives that provided overall better storytelling.
