Ha, yeah, I've seen that comment floating around about the reason behind the stuff with the CW, which seems...a bit of a reach to me, to say the very least.

I'm not in this fandom, either, but I totally understand the fascinating with the ever-constant DRAMA. "Supernatural" is definitely the fandom drama gift that keeps on giving.

tbf, I do think Destiel stans are also big, and perhaps the main, fans of other CW content. I don't think that's the CW's actual problem, but still.

I've seen Twitter comments blaming the ending of Supernatural for the financial problems of the CW, never you mind it's never apparently been profitable, but specifically because of a subset of fans boycotting them?

The whole thing is hilarious to me. The CW has always been a shit station, and the WB was a shit station, too. I reblog the "SPN fans killed The CW" posts because I think they're the funniest thing I've seen in ages, not because I actually think it's true.

The end of the last season was a little much for me, too- part of me revels in the over-the-top absurdity of it... the rest has cringed and started watching something else.

As someone who stopped watching after season 3 (I watched the first couple of eps of season 4 and realised the show wasn’t fun anymore) I wish I could have seen the original S4 that they had planned before Netflix ‘saved’ it

I've always felt the writing for Lucifer was refreshing from a feminist point of view, and bucked a lot of male-gaze trends - such as the 'main girl' being in her 30s, having a complex fulfilling career, a child from a previous marriage and a positive relationship with her ex. I also loved that the women of the show had such deep and overwhelmingly supportive relationships with each other, and that the narrative didn't punish Chloe for pursuing romantic as well as professional fulfilment.

I felt like a lot of those strengths were backtracked on during season 6. I'm just going to pretend it ended at 5b, where they at least have the potential to be happy without needlessly being forced to sacrifice huge parts of their lives and families.

Hard disagree, but I admittedly am a fan of the style of music (like there's the industrial music side of it, but imo there's also a significant influence from early '70s glam rock story songs, think the first few Queen albums and early Bowie) even outside of the context of the show, so it's already far more up my alley than it probably is up yours.

Fun Home was also really good imo, but I will admit that the change in media type unfortunately downplayed some of the more complex elements from the source material. Kind of inevitable since a graphic novel can put significant weight on one or two panels while a musical needs more space to establish and elaborate on the same concept. I'd definitely be interested in seeing more musical adaptations of graphic novels to compare and contrast their approaches to that adaptation issue.

DEH,,, is not my kind of music at all. So yeah, not my thing.

All I know is that I watched the Kevin Smith version, and while I thought it was okay, I was weary of how Smith conducts himself, so I was weary of having my emotions yanked for a simple "gotcha!".

The second version had interesting character designs but I didn't stick around for longer than an episode because it was firmly too kiddy for me IMO.

Hilarious that they presumably did the same plot twist of Adam dying.

fanfic research question

In the US state of Mississippi, is it warm enough to grow citrus plants out of doors? If it is, is it warm enough to get them to set fruit and ripen? Location is fairly southern Mississippi, down near where Louisiana kicks in underneath it? That region where Louisiana seems to take a chunk out of Mississippi at the river mouth, does it have a special name or anything?
