(Anonymous) 2022-01-12 11:09 pm (UTC)(link)I think that there's something promising on that front going on with the recent revival in female characters interest in not only fashion, but also dress-making? From the top of my head - both Cruella and Cindirella had main characters making their own clothes as sign of their creative agency and enterpreneurial ambitions? Quality of the films aside, there's something going on here, thsi interest in production side of things. There are probably some better examples out there, but I haven't been watching a lot of tv series recently, so I'm not up to date on much.
