Oh for sure! I'm just glad I get to see him in other roles and having the chance to "be" someone else -- as an actor I can imagine it might get tiring to constantly play the same person. SPN being the steady gig it was didn't necessarily allow him the time/space to take on other projects (I'm assuming). And I definitely agree that he's got a decent/good attitude about things. I've always appreciated his low key demeanor. I love him though, so I just want to see him do more, because he is good at what he does, ya know? In the same way I wanted and expected more from Emma Watson (and have been kinda disappointed in some ways?). Anyway, realizing it might have sounded like I was shitting on him. It was more of an acknowledgement of what OP of the secret was remarking -- yeah he's THE BEST (TM), but he's pretty fucking good.

I think some actors just Fit certain characters well regardless of or perhaps in spite of actual acting ability. Emma is bland in anything else but she was the best Hermoine for what the movies were going for. I think it's the same with the Supernatural guys. I can't imagine anyone else doing better in those roles for what they were. Some things just fit.

I think Jared is good at playing a very specific type of character but has little flexibility outside that. Jensen is just competent. But both were perfect for their roles in SPN.
