Seconding watching/listening to a campaign to get a feel for it! Aside from Crit Role, some others I recommend are: Dimension 20 (they have several short campaigns), NADDPOD, The Adventure Zone, Dungeons and Daddies, Rusty Quill Gaming

Thank you for the recs!
I wasn't sure where to look because Critical Role seemed a bit over-whelming to me right now, but the short campaigns sounds like a good start for me :D
