I want to know why, in the third movie, the moon is moving backwards in the sky. I'll accept any amount of magical bullshit involving werewolves and wands, but I know which way the damn moon moves and that was not it.

It was the Remus transformation scene. The moon comes out behind a mountain moving right to left, precipitating his change. That isn't the way the moon moves.

Ah. I haven't watched the movie because I disliked the casting choices but that just... sounds like a run-of-the-mill production/editing goof.

I know. It just bugs me because it seems so super obvious.

Doesn't it depend on which direction you're facing? Like the sun, the moon moves from east to west. If you're looking north, the moon will seem to move right to left. If you're looking south, the opposite.

Of course, we can't tell the POV on film, so I just give the benefit of the doubt; somewhere, somehow, the "whatever" can be made to work.

I know you said there are more. I'm just shocked these relatively minor pointless things were deemed apparently important enough to actually list, instead of any of the other many things that could have been mentioned.
