Relatively okay. I got lots of work done, which is good because my office is closed tomorrow and probably Friday due to the incoming snow/ice storm.

Broke a toe. FML.

Omg, the wee camel.
Our SNOWPOCALYPSE seems to have come and gone without much to-do. We got about an inch of sleet with a bit of snow on top, blech. Fortunately I don't work until Friday (and I've got the milk and bread SNOWPOCALYPSE supplies covered, heh). Spend the day reading/watching stuff, and chatting with my sis, who is in the hospital with our Mum, who fell AGAIN, and this time fractured her back.

She keeps getting up in the middle of the night after dreams, thinking she has to do something, and she can get out of the bed-vest thing that's supposed to keep her in there (after she fell in Nov and broke her hip and collarbone, and fell again in Dec....).

I'm sorry about your mom; that's a nasty injury.

It just keeps happening. She lost so much weight when she broke her hip - not eating, and not getting up and moving around. So now she's shaky and not very mobile, and she has dementia and Alzheimer's, too, so she forgets, and gets up in the middle of the night, and falls....

Anyway, it just sucks, and I'm stuck too far away to help at all.

Got my booster shot and feel like crap, but my new TV arrived, so I’m doing okay.

Testing my luck by trying to find roommates on facebook groups. Help.

Well, I woke up at 6am because my neighbors whose driveway is next to my bedroom work in lawnscaping and spent two hours putting stuff into their trucks and digging out because it started snowing at 3am at a rate of at least an inch per hour. Logged into work at 8am because I was definitely not getting any more sleep, and my college did not cancel classes so the entire morning was just people calling/emailing/etc. to see if it was open.

...But they decided to close at noon when we had gotten about a foot of snow and it was still coming down. (11 inches at my house. It was 42 degrees and raining when I went to bed around midnight.)

And after that it was pretty awesome - I got to go walk in the woods (obligatory photoshare) and spend time with bunnies and play games for the rest of the day and got paid for four more hours of work anyways. :D

I just wish I didn't have obnoxious distracting symptoms and could actually enjoy doing stuff instead of "struggle through" doing stuff.

Thank you! It's been awhile since I got to take a walk due to health problems, but today I kind of had to - especially since the temps were all the way up to 29. :D

I love when snow is sitting on top of every branch and twig like that!

Same! Even just my back deck with the maple tree spreading out over it was impressive enough that I couldn't wait for lunch break so I could go somewhere even better. And then lunch break was the rest of the day, hahah. I may have to go back again today...

You know, as much as I don't want to shovel (and I threw my back out so it would be torture), we really need the moisture. I'm jealous of what you got, even while at the same time thanking my lucky stars that I don't have to shovel 11" with a bad back.

Oh man yes. I totally hear you on that. And even the snowblower I finally got a couple months ago is having trouble with this because of all the slush we got before it turned to snow. Sticks to itself and the cold metal inside and clogs up the works. :P

Fortunately not only do I work from home, but today was another snow day so I don't have to mess with snowblower or shovel unless I want to. (Which I may. Can't take too many walks in snowy woods.)

ewww yeah the slush is the worst. Good luck dealing with it, at least it probably won't freeze into solid blocks of ice?? hopefully??

At least then maybe I could blow off the actual snow on top of it. :D

Actually it's about time I went and gave it a shot, I suppose... The plows came by and as usual, made everything worse. But I at least have to get out a little bit today so as to not break my daily streaks in Pokemon Go. (Hey, it keeps me from lying around in self-pity all day. :P)

It snowed enough for me to work from home! And I'll probably be able to work from home tomorrow.

I think I might have developed diabetes. This is really pissing me off, because there's zero predilection in my family, and I have zero risk factors. The timing of this means in all likelihood that I have pancreatic damage from the covid infection I had, on TOP of the other life changing conditions i have developed post-covid. Just so fucking fed up.

Woke up feeling bad. Worried about finances, I got my period yesterday, and I've been having an internal struggle over a friend.

This afternoon my former supervisor called me, asking if I would be interested in returning to work. It was bizarre. Something I didn't even want presented to me. I didn't like the job, but looking for a job is hard AF. I can return to my old job and find a better job while I can return to a steady income. That's the major factor in me thinking I want to go back to my old job.

So it's been a day

Jesus fuck. Got together with a pal from where I used to work, she still works there. We went to a Mexican place for lunch/drinks. Bitch can drink me under the damn table and then some. Lmao. Damn I miss my 20s (I'm 54, she's 26). Salut!!!

February ennui has hit far too early - only 2 days in, oof - so I'm drunk. My housemate is dropping money on Kingdom Hearts pre-order figures. No one is doing well.
